Offline Mode

Post by GoldenAnubis » Sat Mar 02, 2019 8:18 pm

I really think there should be an offline mode for Co-op. The game is really fun and there should be a way to okay if without WiFi, such as if you were on a road trip or something and wanted to play it. It would also be a good way to level up in peace.

I fully support this. Some situations cause me to go up to a week between having solid internet access, and I shouldn't have to wait to improve my stats. An offline mode for PvP wouldn't be bad either, the game can generate A.I. players based on your wolf's strenght and level to fight with.

Unfortunately offline mode is heaven for hackers, so I don't think it'll appear anytime soon. Even if I doubt if playing offline will count toward statistics.

I came across a hacker roaming freely among the normal players as little as a week ago. It's not like they aren't running about already.

Same here. Whether offline or online though, hackers will find it easy or still be at an advantage

Of course, you're right, it's impossible to protect game against any kind of hacking, however keeping game on-line gives advantage that at some point it will be possible, and by gathering enough data it'll be possible to punish malicious players historically. Letting players to play fully off-line makes it impossible both now and in future.
