How to add friends?

So I've gotten a few friend requests from people in the same game I'm playing and I keep wondering how they friend me cause when I try to friend people it doesn't work. I'm typing in the name that's above their character and it doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?

You have to type in their player ID which is a set of numbers. The name above their wolf is only their alias so if that's what you're typing in, it won't work.
You need the person you want to friend give you their player ID, then you can send them a friend request.

Hello if you're in the game with the people, open the score board and click the wolf head with a + sign. There you will be able to add people. You cannot use the name of the player. If you were to want to add someone not in the game with you, say a real life friend then you would need their unique player ID number for example 1010101.
